Privacy Policy

Plain English. Your files are yours, private by default, and we never sell your data.

Your email address is never shown to other users

Where an address must appear publicly, we mask it (e.g. j****@e*****.com). Full addresses are only visible inside a team workspace you have joined. Our own staff addresses are never published — all contact runs through support@shannonsharecloud.com.

What we collect

Account data — your email address, display name, avatar and plan.
Content — the files you upload, their metadata (size, type, dimensions, duration) and the folders you create.
Usage data — storage and bandwidth consumed, API call counts, and basic device/browser information for security and troubleshooting.
Payment data — plan, invoice and receipt records. Card details are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store them.
Ava Cloud AI — your conversation history, so you can pick up where you left off. You can clear it at any time.

Why we collect it

To run your account, store and deliver your files, meter fair usage, prevent abuse and malware, process payments and provide support. We do not use your files to train AI models, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.

Who can see your files

Nothing is public until you share it. Share links can carry a password, an expiry date and can be revoked instantly. Our systems access file content only to perform the operations you request (conversion, thumbnailing, malware scanning) and to comply with the law.

Retention

Files live in your account until you delete them. Deleted items sit in Trash before permanent removal, then are purged from storage and the CDN. Closing your account removes your content; minimal billing records are kept where the law requires it.

Security

Encryption in transit and at rest, row-level access rules so one account can never read another's data, scoped API keys stored only as hashes, and malware scanning on upload. More detail lives on the security page.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in sessions and security. No advertising trackers.

Your rights

Access, export or delete your content at any time from the workspace.
Request a copy of your account data or its erasure by emailing us.
Object to processing or withdraw consent where it applies.

Children

Shannon Share Cloud is not intended for children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will notify you in-app and by email before the change takes effect.
